Affordable Education
In terms of education cost, Canada is one of the countries that have lower tuition fees for international students even though their tuition fee is slightly higher than that of domestic students. There are many affordable rental houses for international students. Thus it is easy for international students to get accommodation at affordable price.
Safety
Another reason why you need to study in Canada is the presence of adequate personal security. it is sometimes scaring to study in abroad especially when you have no relatives in that particular country. The Study Levels
Each province in Canada is equipped to manage its own education system. The education stages one could get are enlisted as follows:

Certificates and diplomas

The duration for the same ranges from 1 to 2 years. Generally students undertaking it major into technical programs.

Associate degrees

This takes 2 years of study for completion. This equals to the first 2 years of a bachelor’s degree.

Post-graduate diploma

The duration of any of Post Graduate diploma takes 1 to 2 years. This is a post bachelor level of study.

Doctorate or PhD

Among the highest level of studies, this takes 4 to 7 years for completion. Students are awarded with a PhD after successfully defending their works before a panel of specialists.

Bachelors degree

A Bachelor’s degree is of a duration that lasts up to 3 to 4 years. This stage follows after successful completion of high school. Duration of study depends on the type of program.

Masters degree

A Master’s degree takes 1 to 2 years to complete. It is further divided into two; Masters by thesis (research masters) where students graduate after completion and submission of thesis, Masters by non-thesis; where submission of thesis is not required.
Types Of Institutions
  1. Universities - These offer undergraduate degrees, postgraduate certificates, diplomas and degrees, professional degrees and doctorates.
  2. University colleges - These offer diplomas and university transfer programs.
  3. Community colleges - These offer certificates, diplomas, associate degrees, undergraduate degrees and postgraduate diplomas.
  4. Career and technical colleges - These offer certificates and diplomas mostly related to technical expertise.
Co-operative Education
Canadian education system for international students provides a unique platform combining both classroom based lectures and practical exposure. It helps the structure become more realistic preparing students for job opportunities afterwards. Half of the programs include work experiences and so each student is required to have a work permit.
An academic year in Canada runs for 190 days with September being the main intake. Other admissions are however offered around April during summer.
As compared to UK, Australia and New Zealand, Canada's tuition fee is the lowest. Financial aids are also offered to international students in form of bursaries, scholarships, grants and tuition waivers.
